Eid-ul-Adha Forecast in UAE

Eid al-Adha is expected to take place on Saturday, July 9 in the United Arab Emirates.

In the Hijri lunar calendar, the beginning of the Islamic month is determined by the Shari’ah view of the moon, however, based on astronomical calculations, possible dates can be predicted.

According to Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, chairman of the board of directors of the Emirates Astronomy Society, Saturday, July 9, is likely to be the first day of Eid al-Adha.

In this regard, on Friday, July 8, the most important and sacred day of the Islamic calendar, the day of Arafa will be celebrated. This will be the second of the three most important days of Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on the next day.

Like Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha is also likely to be a long weekend for the citizens.
