International News Agency Reuters An Egyptian court has sentenced 10 people to death for plotting attacks.

The Egyptian state news agency said Sunday that those sentenced to death belonged to the banned Muslim Brotherhood, which was accused of plotting to attack police.

The news says that these ten people were found guilty of forming an armed group called ‘Halwan Brigades’ in the city south of Cairo.

According to the report, Egypt’s top religious authority, the Grand Mufti, will have to confirm the sentences, and the identities of the accused have not been revealed, and it is not known whether they have accepted the charges.
