Last season was very bad for Chennai Super Kings, one of the most successful teams in IPL history. The team also failed to achieve their place in the top 4. This season, under Dhoni’s captaincy, Chennai made a spectacular comeback and finished the league stage in second place. They have now confirmed their place in the IPL history final for the tenth time by defeating Gujarat by 15 runs in the second qualifier. Chennai has won this trophy 4 times so far.
