During the last rites of her husband in India, the grief-stricken wife could not bear his separation and took extreme measures.
Hailing from Hyderabad in Telangana state, Manoj got married to Sahiti a year and a half ago. Manoj was a software engineer who took his wife to America after marriage.
The couple returned this month to meet the parents and Manoj suffered a heart attack while there. He was rushed to the hospital but could not survive and died.
The death of her husband came as a shock to Sahiti. Manoj’s last rites were performed on May 23, but Sahiti could not bear the separation of her husband.
Without informing her in-laws, Sahiti left for her parents’ home where she committed suicide by locking herself in a room.
