Dubai airport is gradually resuming flight operations after flooding

The airport of Dubaiwhich is one of the busiest in the world, gradually resumed its activities this Thursday after the unusual torrential rains that caused chaos and mayhem Floods in the United Arab Emirates.

The rains caused chaos at Dubai airport and left thousands of travelers stranded.

“Delays to departures and arrivals may continue,” warned airline Emirates, which warned that the airport remained “congested.”

Julie and her husband, an Australian couple in their seventies, traveled to the Emirates for a few days. Instead of spending 14 hours on the plane, the trip took about 24 hours as the flight was diverted and they were unable to collect their luggage or get to their hotel upon landing. “I’m traumatized,” she said.

The storm hit the Emirates and Bahrain on Monday and Tuesday after passing through Oman, where 21 people died.
