Doncic Regrets Not Doing Enough

The pain gets to Doncic: "I didn't do enough"

Luka Doncic is haunted by the pain of his dream being extinguished. Despite his impressive performance during the playoffs, his Dallas Mavericks faltered in the NBA Finals, trailing 4-1 to the Boston Celtics.

Doncic, who at 25 years old has already become one of the best players in the world, acknowledged that he didn’t do enough to secure a championship.

“This doesn’t matter if I was hurt or injured. I was out there to play and I didn’t do enough,” he said. Doncic played throughout the series despite suffering from various injuries, including knee, ankle, and chest problems.

The Slovenian phenomenon has had an incredible season, breaking multiple records and earning accolades left and right. He finished the regular season as the league’s top scorer, playmaker, and rebounder, and recorded a 73-point game in one of the playoff matches. Nobody has ever achieved such milestones before.

However, Doncic’s coach, Jason Kidd, acknowledges that consistency is key to staying at the top. “He’s one of the best players in the world. What he has achieved, reaching the NBA Finals at 25 years old, is incredible. Now he must be consistent and always be in the MVP conversation.”

Despite his disappointment, Doncic can take solace in knowing that this is just the beginning of his journey. Despite the pain and frustration, the disappointment of not winning a championship, he knows he will have more opportunities to achieve history.
