Directors of the Dominican Sports Foundation in New York, headed by President Daniel "burned" Reyes, held a pleasant meeting with the Governor of the State of New York, Kathy Hochul, who congratulated this institution for its performance and the work it carries out in the New York Latino community.
The meeting was held at MamaSushi Restaurant in upper Manhattan, during a visit Hochul made to this Dominican community.
“It was a very useful meeting. We are very grateful to the governor, and to Dr. Ramón Tallaj and his wife Ines, who channeled this important meeting,” said Reyes.
In this meeting, President Reyes was accompanied by members of the FDDNY leadership, including Víctor Santana, Angel Fabián, Roberto Rojas, Martín Zapata, Edwin Veras, Félix Monegro, Johamnes Rivera, Manuel Brache, among others, who shared, also with Dr. Ramón Tallaj, president of SOMOS Community Care, and his wife Ines.
Kathy Hochul was sworn in as New York’s first female governor shortly thereafter in August 2021, replacing her disgraced predecessor, Andrew Cuomo, who resigned amid multiple scandals, including a report by the state attorney general that found he sexually harassed 11 women.
