Dominican Automobile Federation recognizes Jimmy Llibre as “Pilot of the Year”

Dominican racing driver Jimmy Llibre was recognized as “Driver of the Year” during the award ceremony of the Dominican Automobile Federation (FDA).

The event was held on Friday night where national champion drivers in categories such as circuit, drift, rally, esports and karting were awarded.

Through his Instragam account, Llibre said he was grateful to God, to the country, his family and other people who trusted him. Similarly, he said he was amazed by what he has achieved and proud.

“Pilot of the year! That is the award I had the honor of receiving. I thank dad God for everything, the Jimmito from 15 years ago is proud and amazed repeating himself over and over again that He would never imagine having come this far and what we are missing…“said the pilot.

Likewise, he claimed to set a before and after in motorsports.

“I hope to be able to create a legacy marking a before and after in motorsports at the international level, in the same way, it fills me with joy to know that there are many young talents in this world and Today the prize went to me, but tomorrow it can be yours. DO NOT GIVE UP!”, Jimmy announced on his Instagram account.

The President of the FDA, Adriano Abreu Sued, described Llibre as a “worthy representative of the Dominican Automobile Federation and of the country”.

In September 2022, Jimmy Llibre was crowned champion of the 2022 Porsche Sprint Challenge, becoming the only Dominican to achieve this feat in his 911 GT3 Cup (991) category.

As a driver for the MDK Motorsport team, he managed to dominate throughout the 2022 championship season and finally reached the grand finale at Circuit of the Americas, Texas, in which he emerged as the first-place winner in the last race.
