Portugal coach Fernando Santos said on Friday that Cristiano Ronaldo had not threatened to quit the World Cup after being cut from the starting XI for the pre-quarterfinal match against Switzerland. Santos, however, admitted that his star player was “not happy” with the decision. Santos said Ronaldo was informed of this in a private meeting after lunch on Tuesday, hours before the match.
