Dodgers win 10th in a row, Polanco and Sánchez homer for Twins

Chris Taylor hit the go-ahead homer in the sixth inning, Joey Gallo hit a three-run homer in the seventh and the Los Angeles Dodgers extended their winning streak to a season-best 10 after winning Wednesday, Aug. -5 to the Minnesota Twins.

It’s the first time since July 2017 that the Dodgers have had such a long streak. The win also sealed his third straight series sweep, his 14th of the season.

Max Muncy also knocked it out of the park for Los Angeles, which has the best record in the majors (77-33) and is 16 games ahead of second-place NL West San Diego. Minnesota (57-53) lost the leadership of the AL Central.

David Price (1-0), the third of six Dodgers pitchers, got the win. The loss went to Michael Fulmer (4-5) after a one-hit, one-run inning.

For the Twins, the Venezuelan Luis Arráez 4-3, with two runs scored. Puerto Ricans Carlos Correa 5-1; Jose Miranda 4-2. Dominicans Jorge Polanco 4-1, with a home run, one run scored and three RBIs; Gilberto Celestino 2-0; Gary Sánchez 3-1, with a home run, two runs scored and one RBI.

For the Dodgers, the Dominican Hanser Alberto 1-0.
