Detroit defeats the Blue Jays, Castro goes over the fence, Soto signs up saved

Willi Castro homered for the second straight game, Victor Reyes had three hits and the Detroit Tigers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2 on Friday.

Manohan (11-5) allowed four runs on seven hits in 51/3 innings. He gave away a walk and struck out four.

For the Tigers, the Venezuelans Víctor Reyes 5-3 with a run scored and an RBI, Harold Castro 4-1 with two RBIs. Javier Báez 4-2 and Willi Castro 4-1 with a run scored and an RBI.

For the Blue Jays, the Dominican Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 3-1, Teoscar Hernández 4-0, Raimel Tapia 3-1 with an RBI and Santiago Espinal 3-0. Cuban Lourdes Gurriel Jr. 3-0 with a run scored.
