A “interference” unsustainable for Tehran. Iran has summoned the French charge d’affaires, the Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday (September 29th). This announcement comes after the condemnation by Paris of the “violent repression” by the Iranian authorities of the protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini.

Tehran “rejects and strongly condemns the interference of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and certain French officials in the internal affairs of Iran by using false interpretations”according to a press release.
A wave of protests that has left dozens dead has shaken Iran since the death of Mahsa Amini, a young 22-year-old woman on September 16, days after her arrest for violating the Islamic Republic’s strict dress code for women, in particular the wearing of the veil.
