David Beckham recently demonstrated his culinary skills, playfully instructing his wife Victoria to stay out of the kitchen during a family meal. Victoria, 51, captured the humorous exchange on her Instagram stories on October 19.
The clips showed David, 50, preparing a traditional Sunday roast for their extended family. Victoria offered her help, asking, “Do you want help in the kitchen?”
David paused, asking, "From whom?" before delivering a direct response. "For nothing. Stay away," he told his wife.
Victoria, surprised but amused, responded, "How can you just stay away? I’m willing to help."
David explained his reasoning as he continued preparing chicken for the oven and Yorkshire pudding. "Well, we’re not making a ham and cheese sandwich," he said, adding, "We love you."
Victoria captioned the moment, "I won’t take it personally!"
As Victoria continued filming her husband, she also captured him enjoying glasses of tequila. When she inquired how many he had consumed, David replied, "Eight," while pulling out a bubbling dish of cauliflower cheese.
Upon completion of the meal, Victoria praised her husband. "It’s impressive. You’re my hero," she stated. "You’ve made an entire Sunday dinner for our visiting family. I love you."
A final Instagram story from Victoria displayed a table full of guests, including their daughter Harper, 14. The couple, married in 1999, also shares sons Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20.
This wasn’t David’s first public display of cooking prowess. In September, Victoria filmed him making plum jam from their garden. He jokingly called his creation "David Beckjam."
David’s domestic moment follows recent reports of family distance. Their eldest son, Brooklyn, spoke publicly on September 24 at the Ryder Cup Celebrity All-Star match.
He told the Daily Mail that "everyone is always going to talk nonsense."
The Beckham family has reportedly been divided since David’s 50th birthday in May. Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz-Beckham, did not attend the festivities. Us Weekly later reported the couple avoided interaction with Romeo’s then-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull.
