Dani Rodríguez, the Betanzos footballer, has finished as the team’s top assistant, in a campaign in which the vermilion team has touched the European classification. Rodríguez managed to give eight assists, between LaLiga and the Cup, and thus equal the record held by Chory Castro. The circumstance occurs that he achieved it on the last day against Rayo. Against those of Iraola, he came equalized in second place, with 24 goal passes, to another illustrious former vermillion player: Ariel Ibagaza. And his two assists allowed him to match Castro and lead the last win at Son Moix.
El Tigre de Betanzos, as the Mallorcan number 14 is nicknamed, is very close to reaching another historical figure in the Balearic club. He has worn the vermilion jersey 198 times, in the five seasons he has been in Palma, and next season, except for a major surprise in the summer market, he will reach 200 games as a Mallorcan player.
Dani Rodríguez has shown that at 35 he still has football in his boots and next season he will once again be one of the determining players.
