CSK’s star fast bowler got fit before the game against RCB!

The first match of IPL 2024 will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Before this game, Chennai faced a major problem with fast bowler Mathisha Pathirana, which has now been solved. In fact, the injured Pathirana got fit before the match against Bengaluru, which is big news for CSK.

Chennai will play its first game against RCB in Chepauk before Pathirana’s manager shared the good news about his fitness with the fans. Pathirana’s manager wrote on X: “Where is Pathirana? The answer is that he is fit and ready to bowl. Get ready for the last time with the legend.”

Let us tell you that all recent media reports said that Pathirana was injured in the series against Bangladesh. He had a hamstring injury, which is why he might not feature in the first few IPL matches, but it has now been revealed that he is fully fit. However, it remains to be seen whether he will play the first match of the tournament against RCB or not.

Pathirana turns out to be a trump card for Chennai. Last season, Pathirana played 12 games for Chennai. While bowling in these games, he took 19 wickets at an average of 19.53. During this time he had completed runs with an economy of 8.01.

Notably, Chennai Super Kings won the 2023 IPL title under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, just a day before the start of IPL 2024, the team took a major decision and appointed opening batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad as captain instead of Dhoni. This decision by the team is truly shocking.
