More than one and a half kg of gold worth more than one crore Indian rupees (more than 3 crore Pakistani rupees) has been recovered from the stomach of two passengers coming from abroad in India.

According to Indian media, more than 1700 grams of gold was found in the stomach of two passengers of the flight coming from abroad to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Hyderabad last Monday night, which they had filled in capsules and hidden in the large intestine of the stomach.

The airport authorities arrested the two and seized the gold, which is said to be worth more than one crore Indian rupees (more than three crore Pakistani rupees).

According to the report, the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of the Customs Department checked the two passengers on suspicion after receiving specific information, and during the search, more than 1700 grams of gold was recovered from them.

According to customs officials, the passengers had hidden this gold in their colon by filling 6 caspools and covering them with black tape. Both the passengers have been arrested under the Indian Customs Act, 1962 and further investigation has been started against them.
