Washington: A US Army lieutenant colonel who criticized the US withdrawal from Afghanistan has faced a court-martial.
Lt. Col. Stowaskeller, a U.S. Marine Corps lieutenant, criticized other military leaders, including General Mark Millie, whose video went viral on social media.
After the video went viral, the top military leadership immediately fired the lieutenant colonel and charged him with six counts of disrespecting and disobeying the top military leadership under US military law.
In light of the allegations, Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Stowaskler will face a court-martial on Tuesday, media reports said.
The report states that Col. Stowaskeller has served in the Infantry Division for 17 years and has also served in Afghanistan and Iraq for many years.
