MUMBAI: There has been an uproar in India due to the disappearance of coins worth crores of rupees.
According to an Indian media report, coins worth 11 crore rupees have disappeared from the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Karoli, Rajasthan.
According to the Rajasthan Police, the matter came to light when the SBI branch decided to count the money after preliminary investigations revealed discrepancies in the bank’s cash reserves.

A private vendor was engaged in Jaipur to count coins worth more than thirteen crore rupees as per branch accounts, the counting revealed that more than eleven crore rupees worth of coins were missing from the branch.
After the incident, the Rajasthan government decided to investigate the incident with the CBI. The residence was raided but nothing was found yet.
