The NBA market is set to close in less than a week, and the Clippers have made a significant move by transferring Mo Bamba to the Jazz in exchange for Drew Eubanks. Interestingly, Eubanks celebrated his 28th birthday this Saturday, and the official Utah franchise account invited fans to congratulate him just hours ago. Now, the player is preparing to make a move. Switching from the 10-36 Western Conference team to the sixth-placed team with a 28-20 record seems like a good gift.
The operation involves the Clippers sending PJ Tucker, a second-round draft pick, and cash to the Jazz, while Utah sends Patty Mills in return. All players involved, except Eubanks, will have their contracts end at the conclusion of the current campaign.
Bamba, a 2.13-meter tall and 26-year-old pivot, was averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds with the Clippers. Eubanks, on the other hand, was a rotational interior player for the Jazz, with stats amounting to 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds.
The other two players included in the operation are well-known figures in the NBA. For Tucker, 39, the Jazz will be his eighth team in the competition. Mills, who is approaching 37, will play for his seventh franchise, although he has been part of seven teams in the last three campaigns, including the Nets, Hawks, Heat, Jazz, and now the Clippers, with previous stints with the Rockets and the Thunder, where he did not play.
