Clippers make epic comeback against Denver

Denver Nuggets hit at the crypto.com Arena this morning against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Colorado franchise, in a magnificent first half, was 25 up in the middle of the third quarter (34-59) to finally fall 87-85 after 19 minutes of real hell. It was a very tough 53-26 run that neither a great Nikola Jokic with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists nor a wild Aaron Gordon (30 points and 12 sacks) could avoid.

Four Denver players with 10 or more minutes on the court were left without scoring a single field pitch. They accumulated a bleak 0/14 with Austin Rivers and Facundo Campazzo as leaders of this bleak section. The first one was a starter and in 30 minutes he achieved only 4 points with a 4/6 from the personal and a 0/4 in the shot. The Argentine, for his part, played 28 minutes (he was on the court in the final moments) for only 2 goals from the free throw line and a 0/5 from the triple for a total 0/6 in the launch..

Bad timing for Campazzo

It is not the first time that the former Real Madrid player has run dry with 20 or more minutes on the court this season. And you don’t have to go very far in time either, really: against the Oklahoma City Thunder, just three days ago, he made just 1 point on 0/4 in shooting from the field (0/3 of three). The victory against OKC covered a mole that in California has become very visible. The Nuggets were -19 with Campazzo at stake.. Of the 39 games he has played, in 30 the team has been negative +/- with him on the court.

The Clippers, meanwhile, are back on track. This is their second win in a row with a clear demonstration that they can live on the wire. His comeback against the Nuggets came thanks to a choral work and a Reggie Jackson (13 points) and a Nico Batum (6) very important in the final moments.
