Cibao FC will collide with the Jamaican Cavalier team

Cibao FC chocará con el equipo Cavalier de Jamaica

Cibao FC faces the Cavalier of Jamaica, at 5:00 pm on Tuesday 17, in a match in which the two teams pursue a result to ensure a place in the elimination phase of the Flow Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship.

Cibao posted a resounding 3-0 win in her first match against Haiti’s Violette on Friday, while the Cavalier fell 3-2 to Violette in her only match.

The results of the first two dates have left Cibao with better prospects, since with only one draw they advance to the next round as leader.

While the Cavalier will require a win to get past Violette and advance to the semifinals. A draw or a loss by the Jamaicans means that Violette will get her ticket to the semi-finals.

The Argentine Jorge Alfonso, Technical Director of Cibao FC, declared that his team has worked hard in its defense and offense, and that it is ready to continue carrying out the work of the first game against Cavalier SC.

“We were underestimated on Friday, and look how things turned out, I think all the teams in this event have the tools to win, so we will continue to focus,” he said later.

Three different players scored for Cibao in his first match Charles Herold, Christian Alba and Yohan Parra.

Alfonso defined that performance as “part of who we are, of what we have been doing in this team, it is one of our characteristics”.

Group B defined the classifieds

The two teams that advanced from Group B are Atlético Vega Real of the Dominican Republic and Waterhouse of Jamaica, both with wins over Arcahaie of Haiti.

These two teams also meet on Tuesday, but at 8:00 pm to define the positions.
