Cibao FC promoted to its big team the promising midfielder Lucas Bretón, who has managed to polish himself and have an excellent performance in development tournaments, despite being only 15 years old.
Bretón will be in the eleventh eleventh from March 11, when the eighth season of the Dominican Soccer League (LDF 2022) begins and the Orange team goes out to defend the champion crown under the tutelage of Jorge Alfonso.
With a huge future ahead of him, Lucas will turn 16 on November 20, he is 5’5” tall and weighs 128 pounds, and a talent that conquers the football fans.
The young player declared after being signed that he felt very happy to reach the goal of reaching the first team, after signing a professional contract.
“I come with a lot of desire and ambition to give my best on the pitch and take advantage of the opportunity.”
Showing off blonde hair that made him stand out on the green field, he was a sensation last year, when he played in the National U-18 Tournament, wearing the orange team jersey, which continues to give opportunity to the great talent that emerges from its youth academy.
Bretón’s excellent work helped Cibao FC to conquer the Northern Circuit of the National Under-18 Tournament and the runner-up position in the whole country.
“Here in the Cibao they treat me very well despite being very young, they obviously demand me, and I try to respond all the time,” says Bretón with a smile on his lips.
From a very young age, at the age of seven, Lucas Bretón began his football career as a student at the Iberia Institute in Santiago.
He participated in college tournaments at different ages, managing to lift the champion’s cup in several, as well as a Most Valuable Player (MVP) title.
In 2019 he was MVP of the Malta Morena Tournament, for which he was invited to enjoy a UEFA match, the popular Champions League.
His cheerful and productive game led him to be part of the U-15 National Team of the Dominican Soccer Federation (FEDOFUTBOL).
Lucas Bretón is one of the players who has developed in the Cibao FC franchise and it is expected that he will soon begin to bear fruit in the senior team, where they will have enough time to continue polishing this diamond.
