The regular round of the 2022 season of the Dominican Soccer League ended with three games played this Saturday that correspond to day fourteen. Already with the quotas guaranteed for the next stage, the teams from Jarabacoa FC, Cibao FC, Moca FC, closed two wins, while Delfines del Este said goodbye with the only win of the campaign.
In the Pan American the Cibao FC team defeated San Cristóbal one by zero to close the regular season in the best way. Santiago’s squad went up on the scoreboard when part 8 of the match was played after a great header by Uruguayan striker Cristian Alba.
The second half did not present great emotions and the scoreboard did not change. With this victory, Cibao FC finished the regular phase with a victory with a total of 27 points.
At the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium, Pantoja could not assert his local status and fell to Delfines del Este, two goals for one, which represented the first and only victory of the cetacean team in the season. The goals were scored by Robert Rosado (15′) and Roger Davis 76′ and José Calvo Lugo (90+3) scored for Delfines
This match also served for the revival of Luis Espinal with the warrior squad.
In Moca, the victory went to the aurinegro team that was supported by a goal from left back Carlos Rossel and thus close with the laurel the good regular phase that the Moca team had.
On Friday night, Jarabacoa had defeated O&M FC two goals to nil.
The next week begins the Liguilla phase that will be played with the first six teams in the classification in the regular phase, this stage will be played in round-trip matches in ten days and will grant four places for the semifinals.
Cibao FC, Jarabacoa FC, Moca FC, O&M, Club Atlético Pantoja and Atlético Vega Real will play the Liguilla instance.
