.- The rookies Lucas Bretón and Edwarlyn Reyes made their first communion, with their first goals in the Dominican Football League (LDF 2023) and Cibao FC thrashed Jarabacoa 3-0, in a match on matchday 11, held on Sunday afternoon at Junior Mejia.
Bretón and Reyes made their debut as goalscorers in the LDF, while the third was provided by Erick Japa, who totaled 3 this year, keeping the orange club undefeated.
With the result, Cibao FC adds three more points and now totals 26 at the top of the standings, product of 8 wins and 2 draws, while Jarabaco remains with 9 units, achieved with 3 wins and 7 losses.
The three-time LDF champions reached 22 goals scored and only 3 against, for a positive balance of plus 19.
When the 31st minute was played, Carlos “El Caballo” Ventura received a free kick decreed by the referee, which was launched by Juan David Díaz when the clock marked 33 minutes, but the Colombian threw it out.
Five minutes later, at minute 38, Juan David Díaz himself gave a pass to Lucas Bretón who was very far from the goal, but hit the ball with force and precision to score an incredible goal that entered like a missile through the green goal.
For Bretón it was his first goal in the LDF, enough to be considered one of the best that have been scored this year in the LDF.
That Bretón goal allowed Cibao FC to go into the break with a 1-0 lead, when the first 45 minutes ended.
For the second half, Erick Japa came into play and Jonatan Benedetti came out for the visitors from Cibao FC.
The second goal for the eleventh orange came in the 64th minute when Erick Japa struck down goalkeeper Mario Marte for 2-0.
Almost immediately the game took the edge of a landslide in the 68th minute, when Japa arrived with the ball in front of the opponent’s goal, but gave a pass to Edwarlyn Reyes, who sent it into the net with ease.
