Pujara played the best innings of his career

The Indian batsman scored his second century in 48 hours, playing a 174-run innings in England. Based on his innings, Sussex went 378 for six against Surrey in the Royal London Cup. Earlier on Friday, Pujara had scored 107 runs from 79 balls against Warwickshire, but his team had to face defeat. Batting first at the small county wicket in Hove on Sunday, the Sussexes lost two wickets by just 9 runs from four overs. After this Pujara along with Tom Clarke (106 runs on 104 balls) took the innings with a partnership of 205 runs for the third wicket.

Pujara rained racing in England

In his innings, Pujara reached the 100 mark on 103 balls and finished the innings with 174 runs on 131 balls. The Indian batsman scored the last 74 runs on just 28 balls. He scored 22 runs in over 47.

Pujara, who averages around 55 in List A cricket, scored his 13th century in the over-50 format, hitting 20 fours and 5 sixes in his 131-ball strike. During his innings, he hit sixes against fast pitchers like Matt Dunn, Conor McCreery and Ryan Patel, as well as spinners like Amar Virdi and Yousef Majid. Pujara returned to the pavilion in over 48.
