ChatGPT is a very smart AI model; you can ask it anything you want. It bases its answers on a huge dataset and can thus answer most questions. We asked the AI to make a price prediction for ripple (XRP). It is important to note that this purely speculative and that of course no one, even a hyper-intelligent AI chatbot, can predict the future.
What if XRP wins the lawsuit?
Nevertheless, it remains interesting what such a hyper-intelligent AI has to say about it. That’s why we first asked ChatGPT what the effect would be if Ripple wins the lawsuit against the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The answer may not come as too much of a surprise:
“In the hypothetical scenario of Ripple winning the SEC case, this could lead to increased demand for XRP and a corresponding increase in its price. The magnitude of this increase would depend on several factors such as market sentiment, adoption rates and global economic events.”
ChatGPT cannot predict the likelihood of Ripple winning the case: “The ongoing litigation between Ripple and the SEC is complex and involves several legal and regulatory considerations, which may make it difficult to accurately predict the outcome.”
An XRP price prediction from ChatGPT
However, ChatGPT dares to give a price prediction. According to the AI model, ripple could reach a price of $10 by the end of 2023. It bases this prediction on “simulated market analysis and artificial intelligence predictions that I have access to.”
With a price of $10 per XRP, the market cap would total $507 billion. At the moment that is still $20 billion and that would mean an increase of 2,435%. A $507 billion market cap would make XRP bigger than current bitcoin (BTC), which has a $480 billion capitalization.
So the big question is whether it is a realistic price prediction. Ripple can also simply lose the case. In that case, the problems would become huge for the altcoin. So take this price prediction with a big grain of salt!
