Matt Chapman hit a two-run homer, Jose Berrios pitched a dominant seven innings to win his third straight start and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Detroit Tigers 4-1 on Sunday.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette each had RBI doubles for the Blue Jays, who have won 12 of their last 15 games. They took three of four in the series against the Tigers. Detroit is 4-7 since the All-Star break.
Berríos (8-4) gave up three hits, including a solo homer off his brother-in-law, Tigers shortstop Javier Báez. Berrios gave up a walk and prescribed six strikeouts.
The Tigers committed four errors on Sunday and totaled seven during the series.
For the Tigres, the Puerto Ricans Báez 3-1, one scored and one RBI; and Willi Castro 3-0. Venezuelans Miguel Cabrera and Víctor Reyes, both 4-0. The Dominican Jemier Candelario 3-0.
