Chahar injury update, will take a long time to get fit, Washington to play for Lancashire

There has been an update on the injury of Indian fast pitcher Deepak Chahar. Chahar may take four to five weeks to fully recover. Chahar was unable to play IPL season 15 due to injury. Chahar was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore at the mega auction. Chahar was injured in the series against the West Indies in February.

Chahar and another centrally contracted cricketer, Washington Sundar, are recovering from a hand injury. Both players are undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) along with T Natarajan. The all-rounder Washington will travel to England to represent England’s county side, Lancashire.

According to BCCI sources, Washington is close to full form and will need to spend time on the pitch to regain the momentum that it will only get in red ball cricket. He is going to play for Lancashire. This will keep you in a better position.

Chahar was looking in good shape today during his morning session at the NCA. After his rehab session, he said that according to my rehab schedule, I do four to five bowling drills at a time. My recovery is going very well. I think it will take me four or five more weeks to get in shape for the match.

The Rajasthan pacemaker admitted that it would not be possible for him to be fit until India play the T20I series against England in the second week of July. When it comes to recovery, it’s an ongoing process, he said. I don’t think he’s fit for England T20. Once I’m fit, I’ll have to play some matches at club level to check my fitness.
