Castilla gets on the podium

Castilla’s fifth lifts the whites to the podium. Raúl’s subsidiary achieved a meritorious victory in Linares with which they snatch the third position in the table from the Azulinos, in a hectic match that was resolved by the early goal from Arribas (5′) and the sentence from Dotor (74′) when it seemed that the locals were closer to achieving a tie. The meeting was not without controversy. In the final stretch of the game, Linares enjoyed a penalty to close the gap, but Lolo González hit the crossbar. Before, in the first part, those of Alberto González had claimed another maximum penalty, for a clear handball from Carrillo that the referee García Gómez did not see; and practically in the play before the 0-2 the referee annulled a goal to Hugo Díaz for a more than tight offside.

With almost no time for either team to settle on the green of Linarejos, Arribas dealt the first blow.
