Casillas’s Housekeeper, Husband Arrested Over $216,000 Luxury Watch Swap

Spanish police have arrested a couple, including a domestic employee and a security guard, in connection with the alleged theft of luxury watches valued at over $216,000 from the home of former soccer star Iker Casillas.

The arrests follow an investigation into the robbery at Casillas’s residence in La Finca, an affluent Madrid suburb.

Authorities identified the suspects as a woman who worked as a domestic employee for Casillas and her husband, who was part of the condominium’s security detail.

Reports from Spanish media indicate the woman allegedly replaced five genuine timepieces with imitations.

Casillas himself reportedly discovered the fakes, prompting the investigation.

Parts of the original luxury watches were reportedly found inside the property.

The watches held significant sentimental value for Casillas, having been gifts received during his distinguished career with clubs like Real Madrid and FC Porto.
