Casa Pia Captain After 4-0 Loss: “Not the Team We Usually Are”

Casa Pia captain André Geraldes candidly admitted his team delivered an uncharacteristic and disappointing performance following a crushing 4-0 away defeat to Sporting Braga. The heavy loss occurred at the Estádio Municipal de Braga.

Geraldes, speaking to Sport TV, described the match as “not a good night for us.” He attributed the comprehensive defeat to poor starts in both halves of the game.

“We were not the team we usually are,” Geraldes stated, accepting full responsibility for the team’s display. He acknowledged the team had entered the match with a “totally different idea” for how it would unfold.

The captain extended congratulations to Sporting Braga for their victory. He also pledged that Casa Pia would “certainly give a response in the next game.”

Geraldes added that the team’s performance was not the image they “should have left.” Despite the significant setback under coach Pina Manique, he insisted that Casa Pia remains “in the fight, game by game.”
