Bad news for the Spanish peloton. Carlos Rodríguez (Ineos) has shared on his social networks that, after his fall on the Strade Bianche, held yesterdaysuffers a fractured clavicle. “I wanted to get a good result at the Strade Bianche, but unfortunately the fall caused me a broken clavicle which didn’t let me finish”, he reports on his Twitter.

The fall it occurred 70 kilometers from the finish linein the seventh section of sterrato of the race (San Martino). The Ineos runner, who could not continue, went to the ground together with Valentin Madouas (Groupama) and Attila Valter (Jumbo) in a spectacular way. Unfortunately, he got the worst of it.

At the moment, and until the team or the rider himself issue a precise diagnosis, the time of loss is unknown, which would be several weeks. “At least Tom (Pidcock) won the race, so it doesn’t hurt so much after all.”adds Rodríguez, celebrating his teammate’s victory and downplaying his injury.

In this season, the Spanish pearl is not having luck with the falls. In the Vuelta a Andalucía, in which he finished fourth overall, he already went to the ground. Now, it remains to be seen to what extent his schedule can be modified.
