Caribbean queens forced to win remaining matches

Reinas del Caribe obligadas a ganar partidos restantes

The Queens of the Caribbean will meet this Friday at 1:00 in the afternoon (Dominican time) against the team from Germany, in the continuation of Group F, of the second round in the Volleyball World Cup held in Poland.

Data reports that the team’s players are in good spirits, despite the two straight defeats they have suffered, since there are still games to play.

The Dominicans have just lost their first two games in the second round of the tournament against the United States, current Olympic champion, and last Wednesday against Serbia, current world champion in 2018, with a score of 3-0.

For tomorrow, Saturday, the Dominicans have their last match against Canada, also at one in the afternoon. Obtaining these two victories will be key to advancing to the third round of the Volleyball World Cup.

The Dominican team achieved important victories against the Polish and Croatian teams. In the last match of the first round they battled hard against Thailand, although they were defeated 3 sets by 2.

This Wednesday the German team managed to defeat Thailand in four sets. While Poland disposed 3-0 of the United States. In another Group F result, Turkey outscored Canada 3 sets to 0.

Remaining two pending matches to finish this round, the Queens of the Caribbean occupy the seventh position of group F, with a balance of 14 sets won and 13 lost.
