Salsa singer and songwriter Víctor Manuelle was recognized this Tuesday at the Puerto Rico Capitol for his 30-year musical career as a soloist.

“You can’t imagine the amount of emotions that go through my heart right now, being 30 years into my career, all the people who saw me grow, The first thing that occurs to me is to thank the Lord“, declared Manuelle in his speech.

“Thank you for understanding me and the press in the most difficult moments of my life have shown me incredible respect, when you show respect to an artist it is because you love him,” added the singer.

Manuelle ended her intervention by singing part of her song “Puerto Rico” which launched in 2006 in honor of the Caribbean island where he was born.

The artist was awarded at the end of January with the Premio Lo Nuestro for his career and will offer two presentations on June 3 and 4 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan to celebrate his career with his followers.

“Thanks to this second role, I dare to humbly say that I am a prophet in my land. I will always be grateful to my people because this is where my career began. If my music had not been liked in my country, it would not have reached so many places and allowed me to live what I enjoy so much,” said the salsa singer.

The celebration of the three decades of career of the so-called “Sonero de la juventud” will coincide with the anniversary of the release of his first album, “Justo A Tiempo”, which he published on May 25, 1993 with the Sony Music label.

In the concerts, produced by Paco López for No Limit Entertainment, the tropical singer will cover hits such as “Tell her”, “Así es la mujer”, “Apiádate de mí”, “Voy a promiserme”, “Mala y peligrosa”, “I didn’t want to cheat on you” and “I feel like it.”
