The Spanish Aron Canet (Kalex) got his second pole of the season after Portugal, being the fastest in the official classification for the Italian Moto2 GP, in the Mugello circuit, ahead of the also Spanish Peter Acosta (Kalex), with Britain’s Sam Lowes (Kalex) third. Canet achieved a fastest lap of 1:51.121 in the fifth of the seven laps he completed on the Tuscan track in the second Moto2 classification, with an advantage of 125 thousandths over Pedro Acosta, who became his most direct rival in practice in this eighth round of the motorcycling world championship.
