Australia all-rounder Cameron Green said head coach Justin Langer played a big part during the Ashes’ recent 4-0 win against England. He said that he would be very happy if Langer continues with the Australian team. Green, who hails from Western Australia like Langer, has become the current player to publicly support the former starter.

Langer’s contract as head coach is until June of this year. But despite Australia winning the T20 World Cup and the Ashes at home in recent months, he has second thoughts about getting an extension. Langer’s training methods are widely believed to cause discomfort among current players, although no one has spoken openly about it.

“Over the years he used to get a little bit angry in the locker room like any coach or any player, but this series has been brilliant. Obviously winning games helped,” Green said on San Radio’s Sportsday WA show. team was really positive, especially for young people like me.

Asked if he would like Langer to continue as head coach, Green commented: “He was my first coach for WA when I was 17 years old. It is very special that he is my now.” I have been a big part of his career to date. Obviously I like him as a coach.”

Green felt that the players running the team instead of the coach were good. But at the same time he added that the guidance provided by Langer and the coaching staff is invaluable.
