The Cambita FC club was crowned champion, after beating Azua 3-0 in the southern region circuit, in whose contest it ended with its invincible fence, in the Grita Gol U-18 Cup, held at the Goal Project, San Cristobal.
In their competitive barrage, the troops imposed their high qualitative level, thanks to the superb performance of midfielder Josbel Delgado (2) and attacker Wilkin Nina (4), lethal with assists and goals, respectively. Fénix Báez was the least beaten goalkeeper (0).
“Without a doubt, it has been a great tournament given by the south,” highlighted Juan Lehoux Jr. (Juanma), acting president of the Grita Gol foundation, pointing out that four of the six first-round matches were defined by penalties.
The new champion joins counterparts Dominguito FC (National District) and Nagua (north), awaiting the representative from the east, for the great Champions Cup in December. San Juan de la Maguana was third after beating Baní 2-0.
