Calling a man “bald” is sexual harassment

A local London court has ruled that calling a man bald in the workplace is sexual harassment.

According to foreign media, the court’s decision came on the basis of a petition filed by a person who was fired from his job in a British company.

Tony Finn, 64, worked for the British company as an electrician for 24 years but was fired in May last year.

“I have always been discriminated against in the workplace, I have been harassed and my baldness has been ridiculed all over the company,” the employee said.

The court remarked on the application that Tony’s baldness had been mocked and his dignity had been tarnished, with the aim of creating a humiliating atmosphere.

A judge said that hair loss is more common in men than in women. Calling a man bald is like commenting on a woman’s body.

The local court ruled that calling an employee bald in the workplace falls into the category of sexual harassment.
