Bust sneaks into Bou's party

Everything was ready in Andorra to celebrate the world titles Tony Bou with a victory in the champion’s home X-Trial. The one from Repsol Honda arrived with full of victories this year indoors, extending their unbeaten record since Barcelona 2019. But Jaime Busto surprised and embittered the champion’s party.

The one from Repsol Honda started the home trial impeccably, with an immaculate card with zero penalty points in the first six obstacles that practically put him in the final. Jaime Busto and Sondre Haga, tied on six points with Gabriel Marcelli, joined Piera’s team in the top-3, while Benoit Bincaz and Matteo Grattarola fell in the first round. Adam Raga and Toby Martyn were saved from the sieve, with 8 points. Piera’s second run in round 2 was again spotless, in which Busto and Raga accompanied the champion to the three-way final. The one from TRRS tied Haga’s record, but with better time.

The three representatives of Spain in the last Trial des Nations disputed the victory at Bou’s house. Busto got the best of him there, taking advantage of the Repsol Honda fiasco in sector 2, where Raga also failed, in decline ever since. In the end, Busto, by one point, sneaked into Bou’s party.
