LONDON: Forty-five ministers, advisers and secretaries to the British prime minister’s cabinet have resigned in two days, but Boris Johnson has refused to relinquish power.

Within two days, the number of resignations of cabinet members, ministers and parliamentary private secretaries has reached forty-five. The resignations include three cabinet members and 16 ministers, while 20 parliamentary secretaries, four trade envoys and the party’s youth vice chairman, and one secretary, Michael Gove, have been fired.
