This is the week of Bollywood anniversaries! Because in addition to Excel Entertainment, Sanjay Leela Bhansali also celebrated an anniversary, namely the 25th anniversary of Bhansali Productions.
Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his eye for detail, great sets and beautiful and elegant clothing, a very special directing style, and powerful storylines. With nine magnum opuses such as Black, Saawariya, Padmaavat, Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Devdas under his belt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has carved out a special niche for himself as a filmmaker. He is currently working on his tenth film; Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Speaking about his career so far, Sanjay Leela Bhansali said: “It has not always been easy, but I have enjoyed it immensely despite everything. I won some and learned some. But these 25 years would not be complete without the incredible commitment of everyone I have worked with so far. ”
“The movie that audiences are watching on the big screen is the creative culmination of the coming together of so many different art forms; from the soundtrack, the colors, the script, the architecture, the dialogues to every thread in each wardrobe. It is the incredible team of engineers, artists, writers, producers and assistant directors who have been the power behind every film made. This is why I like to call my films “hand-made films.” The next few years are blank pages waiting to be written. And I can’t wait to write them, ”said the director.
In celebration of 25 years of great cinema, Bhansali Productions posted a reel of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s legacy on social media. The reel has taken the internet by storm and features all of the iconic shows, dialogues and performers from each of the nine films he has made to date.
