Before Christmas there would be full payment of Census enumerators

The director of the Tenth National Census of Population and Housing of the National Statistics Office (One), Víctor Romero, reported that the full payment of the enumerators would be ready before the December 24, 2022.

During an interview withDaily ListinRomero commented that the interviewers and supervisors will receive several payments that will be generated during the process that goes from training, payroll for travel expenses during the census process to a last payment that will correspond to the fees after the registration.

“One of the reasons the Census was set for this date was that we had to guarantee all employees that before December 24 they would have their payments settled”Romero said.

He said that the State still does not have the mechanisms so that once each stage is completed, it can continue to hit, saying that the “bureaucratic procedures are slow.” However, he affirmed that this institution estimates to do it for those dates.

Up to RD$3,500 extra

The extension of the registration process in some provinces of the national territory would have an impact on the budget to carry out the Census.

Romero stated that prolong this process census until next Wednesday, November 30, would imply an increase in the established planning. However, he did not offer details of the global amount to which it would amount, explaining that some areas have already been covered, so it would not be necessary for certain collaborators to extend their work further.

However, he announced that the census takers would be added close toRD$3,500but that will depend on the extra days that you worked outside of what was established in your contract.

The ONE informed that the enumerators will receive as payment an amount ofRD$17,000and the supervisorsRD$25,000as fees, to which a daily per diem of RD$400 per day will be added.

The payment will be obtained through an account in the Reserve Bankfunds that may be withdrawn as transfers in branches or bank sub-agents, with a code.
