The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the change of venues for the upcoming West Indies tour in India. It has been decided to limit the series to two places instead of six as originally announced. The decision was made to minimize risks in the biobubble by reducing travel and movement of teams, match officials. The West Indies will come to India for a series of 3 ODIs and as many T20 Internationals.
According to the BCCI, all ODI matches will now be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, while all T20 matches will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The ODI matches will be played on February 6, 9 and 11. In turn, the T20 matches will be played on February 16, 18 and 20.
