Basic Attention Token increases by 30% after Solana integration

Brave browser

Basic Attention Token (BAT), the crypto token of the Brave Browser, is up more than 30% in the last 24 hours. The increase follows yesterday’s announcement that the Brave browser will integrate with Solana.

BAT price rises by 30 percent

According to a blog post shared on Brave’s website, the integration will make Solana the default blockchain for decentralized app (dapp) support in the browser. They chose Solana for its high speeds and low cost.

“With more and more users and developers needing tools for fast and affordable access to the decentralized web, this integration will pave the way for the next billion crypto users to leverage applications and tokens,” said Brendan Eich, CEO and co- founder of Dapper.

The integration has therefore caused the BAT price to rise enormously. At the time of writing, the price of 1 BAT token is around $1.27. That is more than 31% higher than yesterday.

Brave launches more and more new features

After reaching 36 million monthly active users in September, Brave has been busy adding additional features in recent months. In June, the browser launched Brave Search, aiming to provide a privacy-focused alternative to Google. For example, Brave search will not collect your IP address, nor will it personalize results on your data.

In October, Brave Search became the default search engine in the browser. Brave Browser also introduced Brave Talk, a privacy-focused video conferencing feature, in September.
