Barrios or Correa are ahead of Saúl

Simeone began testing with an eleven ahead of Sunday’s clash (4:15 p.m.) against Osasuna. El Cholo did not make many variations, although he has to make one out of obligation, since Lemar is injured. The coach put on a little game in which he included Barrios in the eleven. The youth player played in midfield alongside De Paul and Koke. It would be one of the Argentine coach’s options to replace the loss of the French midfielder.

During the game things changed and later it was Correa who took the place of Barrios. So the team changed their way of playing somewhat, since Correa was placed on the right wing, with De Paul and Koke in the middle, and Griezmann embedded on the left wing, ahead of Carrasco. Morata remained as the most advanced player.

Simeone will be outlining the eleven during this week, although from what was seen in the work session it is clear that both Neighborhoods like Correa have an advantage over Saúl, who could also take Lemar’s place. Barrios has disappeared from the last eleven, that Atlético’s midfield has worked. The same happens with Correa, since Cholo has entrusted the lead to Morata and Griezmann. But Correa has always been a player very much liked by Simeone, willing to count on him at the slightest opportunity. We will see who finally takes Lemar’s place. There are three candidates for a place in the eleven.
