After the Test series against Sri Lanka, the Bangladeshi cricket team has to tour the West Indies. Before this tour, the Bangladesh team has suffered a major setback. Veteran goalkeeper and batsman Mushfiqur Rahim will not be able to go on the West Indies tour due to the Haj pilgrimage. He will leave for Saudi Arabia on June 22 for the Haj pilgrimage in July.

It is a major setback for Bangladesh as Rahim is not available for the entire West Indies tour. Many of his players are already battling injuries. Taskin Ahmed is recovering from a shoulder injury, while Mehdi Hasan Miraj, Sharful Islam and Naeem Hasan are all battling hand injuries.
Rahim recently became Bangladesh’s longest test cricketer on May 18, becoming the first player from his country to score over 5000 runs in the game’s longest format, on the third day of the first Test against Sri Lanka in Chittagong. He scored 105 runs.
After the end of the Test against Sri Lanka, the report further stated that Bangladesh is likely to travel to the West Indies on June 5, although the team for the same has not yet been announced. The Caribbean tour will include two Tests in Antigua and Saint Lucia, starting June 16. The T20 matches will be played in Dominica and Saint Lucia from July 2-6, while the ODIs in Dominica will be played from July 10-16. Only the Test series is part of the World Test Championship. At the same time, the ODIs are not part of the Super League.
