Bangladesh ODI squad announced against India, Shakib Al Hasan returns

The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the squad for the three ODI series to be played against India. Former captain Shakib Al Hasan has returned to the 16-man squad announced by the BCB selectors. During the ODI series against India, the command of the team will be in the hands of Tamim Iqbal. Shakib played the last ODI for Bangladesh in March this year. Following this, he took a break during the ODI series against the West Indies and Zimbabwe.

Shakib Al Hasan was the team captain in the recent T20 World Cup played in Australia. Although Bangladesh failed to reach the world quarterfinals. Nazmul Hossain and Yasir Ali have returned to the announced ODI squad against India. While batsman Mosseded Hossain, spinner Taijul Islam and pacer Shoriful Islam have not been included in the ODI squad. The Indian team is going on a tour of Bangladesh after 7 years. Previously, Team India toured Bangladesh in 2015.

The ODI series between India and Bangladesh will start on December 4. On the same day the first match of the series will be played in Dhaka. After this, on December 7, the second match will also be played in Dhaka itself. And on December 10, the third and final match of the series will be in Chittagong. After the ODI series, a 2-match Test series will be played between the two teams.
