Eastern Region Governor Prince Saud bin Nayef inaugurated Saudi Arabia’s border check post Salvi with Qatar on Thursday.
On this occasion, Al-Ahsa Commissioner Prince Saud bin Talal, Director General of Saudi Passport Department Lt. Gen. Suleiman Al-Yahi were also present.
According to the report of the Saudi news agency, the governor of Al Sharqiya conducted the experimental immigration process at the check post in his presence.
After renovation and expansion, it has become 6 times bigger than the first check post, it will handle more than 12 thousand vehicles daily.
Prince Saud bin Nayef said that construction and development work in various sectors is ongoing in Saudi Arabia and several important projects have been implemented recently. All this was done in a very professional manner. The eyes of the whole world are on them.
Prince Saud bin Nayef said that the new Salvi check post will help in increasing trade transactions and economic relations with Qatar.
Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority Governor Engineer Sohail Abanmi said that the project of the new Salvi border check post is the fulfillment of the main goal of Saudi Vision 2030.
The goal is to turn Saudi Arabia into an international logistics platform, the location of Saudi Arabia is very effective in this regard. It connects three continents Africa, Asia and Europe.

Meanwhile, while talking to the media, Kuwaiti citizen Al-Dusri praised the new Salvi check post and said that it has already become very good, it has created a lot of capacity compared to the past.
