Protesters attacked a police station in Zahedan, Iran. 19 people, including the commander of the Revolutionary Guards, were killed in the clashes.
According to a foreign news agency, protests are continuing after a police officer raped a 15-year-old girl in the southeastern city of Zahedan.
According to the authorities, the series of clashes started after armed protesters attacked the police station. In the retaliatory firing by the police, several people lost their lives while many were injured.
Heavy weapons were used by both sides. A total of 19 people were killed and 20 injured in this incident.
In addition to this, protests for justice from Mahsa Amini are also ongoing in other cities of Iran. More than 100 deaths have been reported in the violent protests so far.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has said that Mehsa Amini’s death has saddened everyone but will not allow anyone to create chaos under the guise of protest.
In one of his statements, the Iranian president said that he will not allow miscreants to disrupt the peace of the society through riots.
