The Argentine men’s Under 17 soccer team began tonight its performance in the South American of the category, in Ecuador, with a comprehensive 4-2 victory over Venezuela.
In a match corresponding to the first day of group B of the continental tournament, played at the Emelec stadium in Guayaquil, those led by coach Diego Placente achieved a convincing success, supported by an effective collective performance
The goals for the albiceleste cast were the work of Claudio Echeverri, Santiago López and Agustín Ruberto (two). The goals of the losing team were scored by David Martínez from a penalty and Junior Colina.
Argentina’s starting lineup included Froilán Díaz; Ulises Gimenez, Juan Gimenez, Juan Manuel Villalba, Axel Cabellos; Gustavo Albarracin, Camilo Rey Domenech, Claudio Echeverri; Ian Subiabre, Agustin Ruberto, Santiago Lopez.
